Crazy Happenings....

I was reminded this week how delicate life truly is - how the people I am ministering to may be here today but gone tomorrow. My roommate, Cindy was faced with a lot this week. A mother of 3 and a fourth on the way (she was 9 months pregnant) was stabbed to death in her apartment a week ago. Both she and her unborn child died. This is a mother who brought her kids to Yogi Bear ever week and who tried hard to raise her kids right. Cindy knew her quite well and was praying with this mother a couple of weeks ago and rejoicing with her in the child that was to be born. Crazy how things happen so fast here. One minute it's quiet - peaceful - the next chaos. If you think of Cindy please pray for her and her intern, Brad. They are both traumatized since they both were the first on the crime scene....an image and memory that they will never forget. Also pray for the 3 kids who are now left motherless. They're now in the hands of the city. And trust me when I say that the city's child care system is a mess and not a system that kids should be left to.
This week has been a little crazy. A few other things happened, but this for now is such an urgent need. Thank you to all of you who are praying.
