A week of success

The first week of Sidewalk Sunday School was awesome! We have great interns who are ready to learn and who are assertive (a huge bonus!). It's gonna be a great semester!
The beginning of the week started off real cold, but warmed up a touch as the week went on. Bayview Houses was Tuesday (Tabea's site), Breukelen Houses was Wednesday (Rion's site), Cypress Hills Houses was Thursday (Suzie's site) and also my visitation for my site, and Friday was Linden Houses (Leo's site) and Pink Houses (my site!!!!!). All of them went so good. Usually the first week is pretty stressful, since the interns don't really know exactly what to do yet, and they're nervous to be on stage and things like that. But Thiebault and Madalyne did so good! The turn out of kids wasn't to great due to the cold weather and the first week back is usually low for numbers anyways. On my site we had 134 kids which was a great turn out for the first week back! I was so surprised! We had the tarps packed out.
Saturday was our first Indoor Sunday School back as well. It went good. Third session I still ride my bus. Good to see all the kids again! On the way home to drop them off, we forgot have the promotion (it was cake and icecream week, and we forgot the icecream sandwiches!). A little chaotic when you got all the kids on the bus! Then, a little girl, Kiara, who is 3 years old got off the bus at the wrong stop. And I was at the back of the bus, and so wasn't watching who was getting off the bus. Unfortunately I was the only one who knew that she came with her brother, Xavier. But it was all good, since we were only one stop away when we realized she had gotten off, and we were able to talk with the mother who was angry with 4 year old Xavier for not keeping an eye on his sister......big responsibility for such a little kid! Anyways......
Sunday night we had a little divisional get together at Rion's house. It was fun! I made some chocolate chip cookies to take over.....I'm really into the baking thing right now. Trying to keep myself busied....Now I'm super busy again.....but the down time is the kinda time you can't sit still in!
Today I wasn't feeling so great. I really haven't been sick here at all since I've moved back. But today I was super dizzy and had issues with my ear....it was like wind blowing through it. I don't know how to describe it! Hehe. But it's a problem I've dealt with before. I'm feeling some better tonight.
I'm looking forward to yet another week! And I'm really looking forward to next week.......Becca's coming to visit me! Woohoo! Can't wait! Have a good night all.
