Forgot about Monday!

I was talking to my dad today and was telling him how Monday went. I think I may have mentioned that we were going to bring in prostitutes. Well, the day was incredible! We had probably 100 of the girls come through. They were from Brooklyn, Queens, and the Bronx. Some were from rehab, and some they brought in from right off the street. We started with makeovers for them. They got their nails done, their hair done, and their makeup done. Gloria took a photograph of each of the girls when they were all done up and we were able to frame the pictures for them and give them to them before they left. They all looked so amazing once they were all done up! One of our staff started to do some eyebrows for the girls. There was this one girl who was so excited, saying she'd never had her eyebrows done for her before! She was so pleased! Some of the ladies commented that it was the best night they'd had in a long time.
After their "makeovers" we served them dinner....chicken, mashed potatoes, salad.....the works. It was real good too! They had someone to speak to the ladies, but before they spoke, we had a powerful skit for them. So powerful, that the speaker didn't even preach! God totally moved, and many of the ladies broke down and gave their lives to Christ. So amazing. They left refreshed and renewed.
Praise God! He definitely did a great work in their lives....even if they weren't changed, I know they were touched by God - moved by his presence. Had a taste of his unconditional love and acceptance.
